P90X Scam

Avoid being a P90X scam victim

P90X Scam

If you’re not yet the proud owner of a copy of P90X, here’s how not to be the victim of a P90X scam artist…
Firstly, as you probably already know, P90X doesn’t come particularly cheap (its £105.95 via Amazon.co.uk as I write this…and worth every penny in my humble opinion but that’s by-the-by). If you see it being sold at some seriously discounted price, that’d be your first warning sign that you’re looking at a P90X scam copy.
So what’s wrong with a scam / fake / rip-off / knock-off copy of P90X anyway (legal and moral stuff aside)? Here are the main issues people have found with their P90X scam copies:

P90X Scam Copies

1.) The Nutrition Plan and/or Fitness Guide may be completely missing. The information contained in these booklets are essential to getting good results with P90X. Without them, you’re pretty much sailing blind.
2.) The Nutrition Plan and/or Fitness Guide may be present, but full of typos and spelling mistakes. Some Nutrition Plan copies have also been found to be factually incorrect ie: telling you to eat the wrong amounts of foods, such as twice as much fat as you should actually be eating etc.
3.) Some or all of the DVDs may skip, be unwatchable, or not even work in the DVD machine at all.

How To Recognise a P90X Scam Copy:

1.) As I said, the number one sign of a P90X scam is a greatly-reduced selling price. Especially if the copy is also being advertised as brand new or unused.
2.) If the copy doesn’t come with both the Nutrition Plan and the Fitness Guide, don’t bother. Even if it’s not a fake, it’s really important to have these documents included.
3.) Some fakes sets have a typo right in the title of the Nutrition Plan. The “N” in Nutrition Plan is a small “n” when it should be a capital “N”. You may be able to see this in the seller’s photo if they have provided a real one (not a stock photo).
4.) If you can get your hands on the Nutrition Plan and Fitness Guide before buying, and you notice spelling mistakes, steer well clear.
5.) If the wallet that the DVDs come in is rectangular instead of square, it may well be a rip-off.

Personally, I would never recommend buying a copy of P90X from Ebay. Amazon.co.uk is different, because Beachbody (the makers the P90X) actually sell through Amazon. So it’s safe to buy from Amazon as long as you see “Beachbody” as the seller. There are also cheap copies of P90X on Amazon from other sellers, but for all the reasons mentioned above I would never recommend buying one of those.
Summary: Buy from Beachbody only (whether via Amazon account or one of their infomercials etc) – it’s the only guaranteed way to avoid the unscrupulous P90X scam artists out there.
